Planting and Care of Lavender
Planting your new Lavender Plant
Choose a full or most sun location, with good drainage
1) Dig the hole twice as deep as the pot.
2)Put limestone gravel in the bottom half of your hole (this provides drainge and the proper chemistry)
3)Backfill an inch or so of soil you had first removed
4) Take plant out of pot and plant it, Make sure to lightlyt spread the roots before planting.
5) If you purchased a Microrhizzae grow pack from us, sprinkle around the inside of the hole. Backfill nicely.
6) Water every other day (~quart) for 2-3 weeks, then NEVER again-Mediterranean plant...likes it dry
Care
In Ohio, we suggest pruning around September. Remember to always leave an inch on green left on the bush...do not cut the brown unless you are totally reshaping.
